What If You’re Closer Than You Think?
There comes a moment when you’ve been praying, working, believing, and showing up, but nothing seems to be changing.
That’s often when we want to quit.
But what if you’re not at the end?
What if you’re closer than you think?
Van Gogh: Keep Creating
Today, Vincent van Gogh is one of the most recognized artists in history. But during his lifetime, he struggled with rejection, poverty, and little recognition for his work.
Yet he kept creating.
His story reminds us:
Lack of recognition does not mean lack of value.
Sometimes the world simply hasn’t caught up with what’s inside you yet.
Noah: Keep Building
God told Noah to build an ark when the people around him couldn't understand what he was doing.
But Noah kept building.
You don't need everyone to understand what God told you to do.
Obey God. Keep building.
Joseph: The Pit Isn't the End
Joseph had a dream, but before the palace came betrayal, slavery, false accusations, and prison.
His circumstances looked nothing like his promise.
But the pit wasn't his final destination.
Don't judge your future by where you are today.
Edison: Learn and Try Again
Thomas Edison and his team went through repeated experiments before developing a practical electric light.
Each unsuccessful attempt taught them something.
Sometimes failure isn't telling you to quit. It's telling you to adjust, learn, and try again.
J.K. Rowling: Rejection Isn't Final
Before Harry Potter became a worldwide success, J.K. Rowling's manuscript was rejected by multiple publishers.
But she kept trying.
One person's “no” doesn't determine your future.
Sometimes it simply means you haven't reached the right door yet.
Peter: Get Back Up
Peter denied Jesus three times.
It could have defined him.
Instead, Jesus restored him, and Peter became a leader in the early church.
Your mistakes don't have to be the end of your story.
Get back up. God can still use you.
Don't Quit in the Middle
Galatians 6:9 reminds us not to grow weary in doing good because “at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
There is a harvest.
But you can't quit in the middle.
So when you feel like giving up:
Pray one more time.
Try one more time.
Knock on one more door.
Take one more step.
Believe one more time.
The cross looked like defeat. The tomb looked final.
But Sunday changed everything.
What looks finished to you may not be finished with God.
Never give up.
You may be closer than you think.
